We now have a new box size in our range, the tea box. An exquisite box with a hinge-free lid. You can change lids and make your own combinations. Perfect for storage of tea, coffee, breakfast cereal – or pencils and other small things.
The boxes are made from metal and are approved for food storage.

Be aware that the box is meant for dry food. We recommend extra packaging, like food wrapping or bags, if the food is moist (i.e. fillings like “mackerel in tomato sauce” or similar juicy things).
To protect the pattern and to avoid rust the metal boxes should not be washed in the dishwasher or be left wet over time. All metal boxes of this kind should be cleaned by hand, with a moist cloth, and be dried well.
Any rust that does appear can be washed off, and is not dangerous in small quantities. (Rust is oxidised iron, which is a trace element the body needs for production of hemoglobin in the blood. More information on this can, for example, be found at the Norwegian Mattilsynet).
To take good care of the print and avoid rust these tea boxes should not be cleaned in the dishwasher. This goes for all metal products. We recommend cleaning them by hand and to dry them well.
