Both our rectangular and small square boxes fit snuggly inside this suitcase box as room dividers. Be aware that the box is meant for dry food. We recommend extra packaging, like food wrapping or bags, if the food is moist (i.e. fillings like “mackerel in tomato sauce” or similar juicy things). To protect the pattern and to avoid rust the metal boxes should not be washed in the dishwasher or be left wet over time. All metal boxes of this kind should be cleaned by hand, with a moist cloth, and be dried well. Any rust that does appear can be washed off, and is not dangerous in small quantities. (Rust is oxidised iron, which is a trace element the body needs for production of hemoglobin in the blood. More information on this can, for example, be found at the Norwegian Mattilsynet). The box has a long life with proper care.
